Pringle Falls House
Central Oregon

A Modern Home Rooted in Nature

In collaboration with Pringle Design, this exceptional home is nestled within a grove of towering ponderosa pines on a gently sloping hillside. Designed to blend harmoniously with its natural surroundings, the house offers sweeping views of the rolling landscape, with seven iconic peaks of the Cascade Mountains visible in the distance.

The home’s dynamic design steps gracefully down the hillside, creating a multi-level layout that defines its character. A unique kitchen bar overlooks the sunken living room, fostering a sense of openness and connection between the spaces. Massive window walls and expansive patio doors blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, inviting light and fresh air into the home while framing views of the serene landscape. Covered patios extend the living spaces outward, offering shaded retreats for relaxation or entertaining in all seasons.

Privacy and tranquility are thoughtfully integrated into the design. Slatted screen walls, strategically positioned along the exterior, soften sunlight and define discreet “areas of refuge.” These quiet, tucked-away nooks provide serene spaces for contemplation and retreat, enhancing the home’s livability and connection to the outdoors.

A spacious courtyard serves as the heart of the property, welcoming guests with its inviting atmosphere. A separate entrance leads to a semi-detached guest suite or home office, offering flexibility for hosting or remote work while maintaining privacy from the main living areas.

Inside, the interplay of materials and design styles creates a unique aesthetic. Textured rustic wood flooring adds warmth and character, contrasting with the clean, contemporary lines of the mid-century modern-inspired architecture. This careful balance results in an interior that feels light and bright, yet cozy and inviting—a modern home that is as practical as it is beautiful.

This home seamlessly combines timeless design, functionality, and a deep connection to its natural setting, creating a comfortable family retreat in perfect harmony with its environment.
